Toronto’s mayor—loathed by cyclists—removed from office by judge

Cyclists in Toronto, Ontario, are probably loving this one. Just weeks after Ford ordered the removal of bike lanes in the city, he himself was removed from office today by a judge who ruled he violated an Ontario conflict-of-interest law. His outster centered around more than $3,000 in gifts lobbyists donated to Ford’s football foundation. You can learn all the nuts and bolts of the ruling here

But what is most relevant to cyclists, is the man who went out of his way to make their lives difficult may soon be out of the picture. After all, he’s often referred to cyclists as "a pain in the ass" and said "My heart bleeds for them when I hear someone gets killed, but it’s their own fault at the end of the day."
