The Philly Bike Expo celebrated its fifth year last weekend and the event continues to reach a broad range of cyclists and promote all things bike. Bilenky Cycle Works launched this expo in 2010 to broaden their reach and promote cycling. And they’ve accomplished just that.
This year there a multitude of rides and seminars happening; an urban mountain bike ride with Take Aim Cycling, Kidical Mass, a Brompton breakfast, family biking 101, Yoga for cyclists, Coping with tapered headtubes and much, much more.
The Philly Bike Expo continues to celebrate the artisans who craft two-wheeled, and sometimes more than two-wheeled. Bike builders are not the only handcrafting artists who attend this show; handmade cycling hats, panniers, messenger bags, saddles, and apparel dawn the halls of the Philadelphia Convention Center. There are also a few of your favorite bigger brand names; Brompton, Nutcase and Sock Guy, just to name a few.
If you live anywhere in or near the northeast, I recommend adding this event to your calendar in 2015. Thank you to everyone who attended and those who stopped by the Bicycle Times and Dirt Rag booth. Keep supporting your local bike community!
If you live on the other coast, don’t fret—the San Francisco bike expo is coming up soon. Get the details here!
