Weekend Schedule: Bicycle Times Adventure Fest presented by Trek

We’re just one month away from Adventure Fest! Here’s the schedule so you can begin to plan your weekend. If you haven’t already registered, please do so here via BikeReg.

Friday, October 9

1 p.m. Registration, expo and food vendors open. Ride support begins.

1 – 2 p.m. 31-mile ride departs.

2 – 3 p.m. 13-mile and 18-mile rides depart.

5 p.m. Ride support ends.

5 p.m. Trek Weekend Kickoff happy hour at the Trek booth.

5 p.m. Swift Industries Bikecamping Clinic: The Trailside Mechanic. Meet at Swift Industries booth.

Trailside repair instruction for the bicycle adventurer. Confidently address snapped spokes, a broken chain or a derailleur failure. We’ll look at specific tools and tricks to remedy surprise mechanical issues.

6 p.m. Expo closes. Beer Garden opens. Beer provided by Happy Valley Brewing Company.

7 p.m. Registration closes. Movie at the entertainment tent: Bicycle Movies, a collection of short films hand picked by Stephen Aurebach.

8 p.m. Food vendors close.

9 p.m. BikeFlights giveaway winner announced.

10 p.m. Quiet hours begin.

 

Saturday, October 10

6 a.m. Standing Stone Coffee opens.

7 a.m. Registration opens. 

7 – 8 a.m. 106-mile road and 70-mile mixed surface rides depart. Be aware; sunset is 6:25 p.m.

8 a.m. Morning yoga with Carissa and Rebecca. Bring your own mat. Held at the entertainment tent in the expo.

8 – 9 a.m. 60-mile road and 38-mile mixed surface rides depart. Be aware; sunset is 6:25 p.m.

9 a.m. Registration, expo and food vendors open.

9 – 10 a.m. 13, 18 and 35-mile rides depart.

3 p.m. New Belgium Brewing Rollin’ Fat Ride. Bring your fat bike for fat-bike-only ride. Meet at New Belgium booth.

4 p.m. New Belgium Brewing Slow Ride Experience – How slow can you go? Meet at New Belgium booth.

4 p.m. Swift Industries Bikecamping Clinic: Intro to Bikecamping. Meet at Swift Industries booth.

If you love camping and love to bike, combining the two will open doors to a whole new way to travel. Learn the basics of bicycle touring from: route finding and discovering local destinations, gear and equipment and food planning.

5 p.m. Demo Bikes must be returned. Ride support closes

5 p.m. New Belgium Brewing happy hour.

5 p.m. Swift Industries Bikecamping Clinic: Camp Stove Cooking—The Titanium Chef. Meet at Swift Industries booth.

This is a cooking show like none other. Think backpacking stoves, one-pot meals, and titanium sporks. Led by Jason Goodman, a former mountain guide and a stellar backcountry cook, you’ll learn how to put together the perfect bicycle touring kitchen, and find out which backpacking stoves and fuel types are right for you. Jason will share tips on making fresh, nutritious meals at camp and what to eat while you’re on the road. When you’re adventuring, food is fuel.

We’ll be demonstrating our favorite meals for you to sample, and there will be recipes and resources to take home.

6 p.m. Expo closes. Registration Closes.

7 p.m. Beer garden opens, live music begins. Beer provided by Happy Valley Brewing Company.

8 p.m. Trek 920 raffle winner announced. Must be present to win. Food vendors close.

10 p.m. Music stops, quiet hours begin.

 

Sunday, October 11

6 a.m. Standing Stone Coffee opens.

7 – 8 a.m. 60-mile road and 38-mile mixed surface rides depart. Ride support begins.

8 a.m. Morning yoga with Carissa and Rebecca. Bring your own mat. Held at the entertainment tent in the expo.

8 – 9 a.m. 13, 18 and 35-mile rides depart.

9 a.m. Expo and food vendors open.

11 a.m. Check out deadline for LRR facilities. If you aren’t staying Sunday night, please check out and move your car to overflow parking prior to departing for your ride.

2 p.m. Demo bikes must be returned.

3 p.m. Adventure Fest concludes. Ride support closes. Food vendors close.
