Study: Cycling rates rise faster in Bicycle Friendly Communties

Common sense would tell you that cycling would be more prevalent in communities that encourage safe and easy riding, but now there is a study to back that up.

Since 2000, large cities that have been designated Bicycle Friendly Communities by the League of American Cyclists have seen an 80 percent rise in bike commuting—far above the 32 percent national average for non-BFCs, according to the study conducted by the League.
