Soma donates bike to crash, theft victim

Mike Hardy’s 27th birthday started off bad, then got worse.

Hardy was struck by a car in Kansas City, and while the EMTs were tending to his shattered knee, bystanders made off with his bike, a Soma Rush. The only good news: the thief can be seen walking off on the video from the a police dash camera.

And even though Mike is in a wheelchair for the time being, once he heals up he’ll be riding an all new bike, thanks to Soma Fabrications, who donated a new one when they heard about the incident.

"The support of your company and my friends, family, and the cycling community shows me how much humanity still exists in the world," Hardy said.
