Oregon Outback starts Friday

It hasn’t even begun but the inaugural Oregon Outback bikepacking “race” is quite possibly the most talked-about bikepacking event of the year. Covering 360 miles of dirt, gravel and (probably) mud, the route travels north from Klamath Falls near the California border to the Deschutes┬áState Park along the Columbia River.

Riders from across the country, and probably internationally, are gathering for what will likely be the most well-documented bikepacking event of all time. Like countless others who couldn’t be there to join them, I’ll be following along on Instagram with an amazing array of bike setups and travel plans.

Swift Industries has some cool stories about its riders and their individual setups here.

Hope it inspires you to embark on your own adventure!
