Interbike Dispatch: Swobo returns with American-made bike

Swobo bikes took a few years off and moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado, but now it’s back, with several of its previous models revived and updated.

The Fillmore and Novak are 700c models, with eight and three speed Shimano internal hub gearing, respectively. Both are TIG welded steel and include fenders. The Fillmore is equipped with disc brakes—the Novak has caliper brakes.

If you prefer 26-inch wheels and aluminum frames, the Dixon and Otis are your choices. Both come with disc brakes, and eight or three-speed Shimano internal hub gearing. Prices range from $789 to $1,069.

The singlespeed or fixed gear Sanchez frame remains in the line as well, at $299.

At the top of the line is the new, American-made Divine frame, above, built in Portland. For singlespeed or fixed-gear use, it can fit a massive 700x40c tire, but is still stripped of braze-ons or mounts for a clean look. It’s available in red or this bronze-tinted clearcoat for $897.
