Interbike 2011: Felt continues to refine its city bikes

Felt‘s new Verza model, the Regency, is clearly inspired by the everyday bikes of the Netherlands.

These are three-speed steel bikes for comfortable cruising. Sturdy, practical touches include a fully-enclosed chainguard, custom matching rack and fenders, and a basket with the step-through version or a saddlebag for the standard frame. The step-through will also eventually have a matching skirt guard, although it’s not shown here. The saddle is wide and comfortably sprung with nice logo details. Both step-through and standard versions are $699.

Notably missing from the booth were the messenger-style offerings with skinny tires and narrow bars… it seems that Dutch is the new fixie.
