They always say working for the government has its perks. Now employees at the Office of Personnel Management, the General Services Administration and the Department on Transportation, can include free memberships to the District of Columbia’s new Capital Bikeshare Program.
The bike sharing program, begun in early October will eventually offer members access to more than 1,000 bikes at more than 100 stations across the District and Arlington, Va. Memberships can be as short as one day, or as long as a year. Bikes are available 24/7. Annual memberships are only $75 per year.
